I don't do "I told you so" comments. I would hate to see that happen to anybody or any bow! But you're right about Excalibur, built to last!

I got good news for your buddy! According to the Manufacturer, the Ravin's a rifle, not a crossbow! 
Those fiberglass thingy's on the sides are just for looks! All he needs to do is rack the slide, load another round, and he's good to go!

My guess is that the 100 yard accuracy has slipped a bit.

Ouch! Now he gets to see how good there customer service is. The bad part about that is most archery shops don't have the proper bow press to fix it!!

Hes an aging serious bow hunter just not shooting the compound as accurate as he used to. This is his first crossbow. He was all set to buy an excalibur ....but being a compound guy the "wheels" just sold him. We are hunting rivals but good friends l already offered him my micro or 355 politely.
