Is this correct? PICTURE ADDED!!

Post by Hillcountry »

ImageThis Matrix 380 is for sale in my area. Look at the rubber bumpers...is this the way they should look with the huge channel where the string slaps them? If this is not normal, I’m assuming the owner didn’t know how to set it up and could he have damaged the crossbow by shooting it this way?
On my Micro there is a 1/4” gap between the string and bumpers.
Never seen a Matrix 380 in person so....
Damn I guess the picture didn’t load...

Okay I see you have to have a post image account so never mind....I guess you can still answer the question without a pip

Ya I see that often. I don't think it's always that the owner used it that way. I think more often than not the bow sits unused for so long it stretches out the string.
Benefit of the doubt, but the fact that they still take and post the pic like that shows that they really aren't maintaining their equipment well. Even if they don't know they are.

I don't have to see a pic to say that if'en thar be a channel string indention pounded into them. They are ruined n need to be replaced, i doubt it hurt the 380 other than the REDS n string wear

I looked at the pic again and it is literally buried in the rubber bumpers probably a quarter inch inside them.

It's probably from just sitting and not being used, the string stretched, I think, if it was from shooting, those bumpers would be split....

That would definetly need a string and bumpers which are not covered by warranty and a close inspection of the limbs.

So this all said and noted, what is the correct string position for the Matrix 380?
