Miserable weather

Post by BrotherRon »

The weather has not cooperated the past few weekends.
First it was too hot to hunt, now the last 2 weekends is has been raining.
Had some snow flakes in the air yesterday so things are looking better.
Daughter and granddaughter are visiting this week but am going to try to get out Saturday for a few hours.

I had hope to get out today Fri. but after 2" of rain Thurs. brought the creek up & running fast, decided not to take a chance crossing, & the wind is blowing 15-20 mph. Other plans for Sat. so that's out, but next week looking good, high's around 60, lows upper 30-40's.

My dad has always said "every time ive hunted in miserable weather, ive only ever had a miserable time."

Now being young and foolish that doesnt stop me from going out. But so far he's been right. Never seen a damn thing in miserable weather. Napping at the camp seems like a much better time lol

Been cool and raining here in NE Oklahoma. Had a couple of days of better weather but had to stay home while a new roof was put on the house then painting all the new fascia and trim they installed. Barely got done when the rain came.

Spent 5 1/2 house in the Ground Blind this morning but didn't see anything. Did see 3 does after I turned into the subdivision I hunt in. They were headed somewhere else though.
