Charger Crank

Post by Tlyle »

So I broke one of the plastic hooks on my Charger while cocking the Micro 355. Excal sent replacements hooks right away via Woody’s. I’ve changed a string and hook on the C2 with no issue. Pretty easy. Question is, how do you go about doin* it with the Charger? Any help wo7ld be appreciated. Thanks!

Hey Tyler well done. This is a great hooks upgrade too, those heavy duty 4X4kocker hooks with two pulleys are very strong.

Very cool, I was thinking this month of actually shortening my Charger since I only use it on Micros. Wanted to see it made a difference on the top end.

Thanks Tyler much appreciated

I would think it would make at least a little difference at the top end. There is definitely some spool diameter growth the more the cord is reeled in.

You should be able to put it on your 370, extend it all the way out (with cord in the rear groove) and measure how far each hook goes past the string. Then tie your new knot shorter by 4X whatever that measurement is on one of the cord ends. Heck you could test out how much easier it is before cutting and melting it, in case you decide to go back.

Let us know how much of a difference it makes 👍
