Hann-Bun Kuro Feather

Post by Sparkey »

Has anyone used a Gateway 3” Shield Hann-Bun Kuro Feather on a crossbow arrow ? If so, how did they hold up ?

I use 2" Trueflight feathers all the time. THey hold up well, and can even still provide good control when kind of beat up. I found Trueflights to be ground a little more consistent in the Gateways, but either will work well. I tried 3" shields as well years ago, but settled on the 2".

I found time after time the gateway feathers to be inferior to the trueflite in every way. I used them exclusively for my stick bows. The truflites are more waterproof, more durable there is no comparison.

Call Trueflight. They used to send you samples to try for free. You can't pick the color (they are usually rejects from the dye-process), but other than that they are good to go. Nice way to try them out before you pull the trigger.
