Rifle hunt

Post by Reinyrooster »

Haven't been able to get out even once this season with the Excalibur but am heading up north on Sunday for a week of rifle hunting. Have a buck tag and a bear tag. Weather doesn't sound promising but I'd still rather be on stand then anywhere else.

Does Kentucky allow crossbow hunting now? I know for a while they didn’t. Maybe if you were disabled. A group of people I work with go bow hunt there every year. Just looked it up, they have a crossbow season now and you can use it in gun and muzzleloader season. Just can’t use it in archery season.

Well I'm back early.....3 days of hunting......3 days of rain.....out of 12 hunters, only one hunter saw one deer and got him....a decent 7 pointer. My hip was acting up real bad so I called it quits and am now home.....not the way I wanted this week's hunting to end.

You win some you loose some. My shotgun season has been kinda botched as well.
Still thankful for the tree-time so far this year.
