Welcome to the forum!
If your wife will end up with it, you might want to go lighter like a 330 or even 310. On the other hand, a 380 with a Charger crank will be a snap for your wife to operate. Its pretty hard to make the wrong choice with an Excalibur.
While the Kodabow is a good bow, your wife is going to find it a bit heavy for her.

Hi folks thanks for the welcome.

Like i said i wanted to start off easy on the pocket book.
The M380 was suppose to be sold today and was a hour away.

The offspring was only 30 min away ,
still avalible.
Still in like new condition with box and paperwork, and he let me have it for $275. Hard to say no to that.

He also had his brand new Horton and a Excalibur M350. He let me shoulder it just to get the feel of it.

We set in his shop for probably a hour and just talk hunting and crossbows.

I think i made a new friend. And We actually know a few of the same people.
The Excalibur will have to wait untill next spring.

To be honest that will give me time to get my hands on some and compair the fit. So i think it worked out good.

Have a great evening.

Wow you stole it! Good deal.
Between Boo and Danny Miller I'm sure you'll have that thing tuned right up before next season.

You simply cannot go wrong with a Matrix 380!!
I am turning 60 in the spring, and have no issues whatsoever cocking mine.
And it has taken a PILE of critters in my hands!
Personally I believe the Matrix 380 to be THE BEST Bow Excalibur ever came up with!!
So, when you're ready, that's my two pesos...

Oh, and Welcome from the West Coast of Canada!

Cheers,

Welcome to the forum steve, i'm in agreement with what everyone here has said
I don't know your stature but, i'm 76 with health problems and I can still cock my 2010 Equinox without too much difficulty ,
the draw weight is 225 lbs. using the rope cocker properly will help you ,do it with ease.
good luck with your choice. :D

I don't think you can go wrong with any Excalibur. I started with the Axiom it was a tack driver out to 50 yards no issues. I then upgraded to the Micro 335 suppressed. I just shot a buck at 30 yards DB lunged him. Again these bows are crazy accurate. Welcome to the forums ans let us know what your final decision is.
