New hunting seat/chair i ordered

Post by Owl Creek »

My Friend had one of these for a couple years now and kept telling me i should get one.
well this year he got a crossbow ( PSE ) and took a spike out of his Dead ringer hammock chair.

So a few weeks later some of us from church went on a weekend bow hunt and i invited my friend.
well he set his seat up at camp for us to try out.

Way more comfortable than i expected. i think it will be a good tool for me. especially when going in blind to new spots.
or having to move to find what ridge the deer moved to when they are on the acorn feed.

i read one review where the guy trimmed limbs in the shape of a V in a cedar tree and sit back in it .
i thought that was creative .

Anyway i wanted to share my find in case someone else thought it would be handy . mine should be here tomorrow.

This is an outstanding product for the mobile hunter. I love my Ghost Blind, and my Climbing Stands, but for the long distance spots this would be hard to beat! I likey!

Exactly,
i think it will be great for scouting new areas, but you can hunt as you go.
got it in today takes about 60 seconds to set up..
you can pull out your pruners stick a few small limbs around ya for cover and your set.
if you dont see anything bam your packed and gone in the blink of an eye.

looking forward to using it in a couple weeks.

I ordered one from eBay.  Looking forward to trying it out, hopefully this year. I think it will work well behind the Ghost Blind too if i get the height right. :eusa-popcorn:

I hunt like this now but just with a 3 legged stool I keep strapped to my pack. I love hunting from the ground in a ghille suit. Very mobile and quiet and great for being flexible. IMO the best way to hunt with a crossbow. By being on the ground and taking disciplined shots, you virtually eliminate the chance of hitting only 1 lung because of the downward shot angle out of a tree stand. So for me this seat is just OK. I don't always set up in front of a tree. Sometimes I'm just beside a small cedar or something, or just in some weeds, or in between several trees. BUt I agree with Dan. For long range rifle type setups, this would be great and looks comfortable.

....I just ordered one of these for next year....I think it will answer all of my questions about being comfortable in the woods, not having to lug a chair in and being light weight!.....time will tell!
