New Guy -bolt question

Post by Sniper62 » Fri Dec 14, 2018 7:48 am

I'm new to crossbows, just started this summer. This hunting season so far I shot a seven point buck and a squirrel . Put a bolt through a hog but couldn't locate it in the unforgiving terrain.
I have a 308Short. I'm using the 16.5.Easton Quills. While they shoot ok I see they don't perform as well as others.. Are there any 16.5 inch bolts out there already set up with the flat nock avaliable or only custom. I like to stick with the 16.5 lenth because my still hunting usually takes me through thick brush. The short bolts keeps me from getting snagged.
Thanks

Black Eagle now makes a 16" option. However I don't know too many details on it yet.
Micro-Hybrid-bulldog "PitBull370"
MOBU Micro BD345 "Greener"
Xtra Micro BD310 "Small-Fry"
Micro Axe MOBU.

Every little sound in the bush sounds like footsteps... Until you hear footsteps!

I use 16" Black Eagle Executioners on both my M330 and my Micro 335. They fly great. No problems. Lots of food in the freezer. I had issues with 18" Diablos, which was unfortunate because I bought a lot of them before figuring out they weren't grouping well for me.

I am using the Black Eagle Executioners as well and they fly great. I ordered mine through WyvernCreations and they had them to me in 2 days.
