Micro 335 Gen 1 Power Stroke?

Micro 335 Gen 1 Power Stroke?
So what was the advertised power stroke of the Generation 1 Micro 335? Mine finally succumbed to the known limb issue last season and it was requested that I send in the riser and limbs. I received a new slightly different riser and limbs within the week. As others have noted, the new riser design changed the brace height considerably as you can tell from this picture.
The tape is positioned exactly where the back of the nock would sit when the bow is cocked. As you can tell from the reference mark on the rail, I'm well short of where the bow operated previously. Based on the measurement, there's exactly 9" before the bumpers. If you keep the string off the bumpers, then my power stroke is under 9".
Don't consider this a complaint. I bought the Micro for the size and short draw and now the draw is even shorter. For others than mention that the bow will now be more like a Micro 315 due to the shorter draw length, that hasn't been my experience at all.
When loaded with an arrow of this weight (for testing only):
It consistently tosses arrows at this speed:
Somehow they've managed to change the geometry such that the advertised speed is still achieved within the shorter draw length. I'm impressed.

Without a doubt, you are now in 315 configuration. Unless they machined angle into the riser pockets, which I've never heard of being done and would cost them a fortune.
Whatever the reason, don't change anything, enjoy the newfound reliability and easy draw weight.

Re: Micro 335 Gen 1 Power Stroke?
gen 2 a little longer ?
Re: Micro 335 Gen 1 Power Stroke?
Comparing the power stroke between the two risers is kind of an apples to oranges situation.
Gen 1 had a higher angle riser and a shorter rail 15.75".
Gen 2 had a lesser angle(riser is not currently used on almost the entire lineup) and a 1/2 longer rail.
His power stroke is only about 4-6 twists of the string difference. Maybe 1/4" shorter? But that's not were the change comes from, power stroke is the result.
Either way, it's a great little bow now. Time to Bullpup it

Re: Micro 335 Gen 1 Power Stroke?
so if you put a gen 1 riser on a gen 2 rail what would the speed be ?
Re: Micro 335 Gen 1 Power Stroke?
I'd have to check me notes, but the number 348 and a Flemish comes to mind. I ran that setup for 2016 2017otisbrazwell wrote: ↑Thu Dec 20, 2018 1:05 pmso if you put a gen 1 riser on a gen 2 rail what would the speed be ?
I had a super hot set of limbs that would hit 359 in all stock setup... String and arrow
