Was off work the past week so I spent it at the cabin hunting.
I have one in the freezer already but needed one for canning.
Been seeing four 8 pointers running together on my camera at night but they started coming in a little earlier.
Since the season is almost over I told myself I would shoot the first thing that walked in an wasn't a bambi.
About 20 minutes before dark the smallest 8 pointer walked in and gave me a broadside shot at 31 yards.
Arrow went in just behind the left front shoulder, passed through the heart and exited just behind the right front shoulder.
He only went 25 yards before collapsing.
Closed out my season.
