Now that the holidays are fizzeling down l will have more time for the Phoenix project bow . I just put the final matte clear coats on this afternoon after the stencil camo was dry a few days.
. I was basically trying to achieve a hand stencil paint job in the theme of the old excalibur wolverine bows from the past .l always like the look of them bows.lm working on the limbs n riser and rail now. Basically the whole bow is gonna be camo. I did a similar job on my vixen 2 when it was new and after 3 years still looks almost new.l have a new model nikon bolt Santa brought me for it.
. I plan on a trigger tec, Bow jax limb silencers and dr stirrup bumpers on the s-5's my only deadline is spring Turkey so I'm taking my time .. it's a long winter ...l love these long limbers.
Vixen 2, metal ibex,Phoenix, sapphire, matrix 330 ,matrix 355 ,vortex and baby grand piano y25 relayer.
Trigger tecs, leupold crossbones and nikon bolts.
Zombie slayers and mostly swat broadheads.

Off to a great start Joe looks wonderful .
I share your sentimentality for the old school camo and the long limb bows I bought a vintage carved tip Exocet a little over a year ago and I love the look of it and the fact that it is a very early Excalibur vintage model. It is a joy to shoot and look at makes me feel good having it :D .
Also serves as a great back up bow.
