I have the month of January left as this year I have been passing on does with year lings. so its cold as a puck hunting
at times and hiking with the micro or bd400. gun hunters are done after tomorow .time to have the honey
drop me off in a few spots

I used to like to get a lot of deer (where I live I get 5 tags with my license plus 3 other tags called MLD just for whitetail). Three things happened that made me think different. 1) I was lucky to get a few big bucks and now I want mature deer and pass on others 2) My brother started to hunt more so we have plenty of meat to give away 3) My Dad makes me clean my own animals! Now I get one deer to give away and I wait for a big one. After February we still hunt hogs, axis and some other stuff so it's not like hunting is done for the year.

I agree I could hunt coyotes or rabbit . But for the most part my heart is in Deer or spring turkey .
But after spending for Christmas this is a good downtime to tighten the belt and save money for turkey holidays .
