would they consider limbs to be cracked due to dry fire a non warranty?
When dealing with Dan Miller for limbs he has never asked me what happened to them. It says in the warranty I believe that a dry fire is not covered but like said I have never heard of them asking what happened.

FYI guys....I will not own a crossbow without an ADF, however, I did encounter a pronblem with mine. I ran out of fletching glue and bought a different kind that had a more rubbery base when it dried (locktite g2). It is a very rugged glue. I regularly use old faithful Fletchtite. A very small amount of the rubbery glue dried between the vanes. When the arrow slid beneath the adf it drug on the glue and gave me erotic arrow flight that nearly drove me nuts before I figured out what was happening.check your arrows and make sure there is no glue dried between the vanes that could interfere with the adf. It can slow an arrow just a minute amount to gave an occasional erratic arrow. Cheers

Daughters boyfriend bought a brand new Matrix Grizzly.

I taught him all the ins and outs of the bow and really emphasized to not dry fire it because it didn't come with the anti dry fire mount. :eusa-naughty:

Yep he dry fired it and broke a limb.

Got me thinking that the dry fire mount really should be standard on all éxcalibur bows.

It would increase the bow cost slightly but I am sure new users wouldn't mind a little cost upfront to save much potential aggrevation and a damaged bow.

Now he will be out the hundred bucks for new limbs.. :(

Just my 2 cents!! :)
Or just put back the deacon and slow these bows down with wider limbs and go back to how Excalibur used to be before the buyout. This way you don’t deal with added systems that fail you will only every dry fire max 4 times I. Your life anyways if you do more than that maybe crossbow isn’t for you…… no need to have all this added baby proofing like any dry fire, hand guards and automatic safety. What you need is proper crossbow training.

Still Hunter That's a little harsh don't you think? I see you always shoot alone and not very social when you shoot.

Well he’s going to get a good education on how to strip it down and put it back together. At least now he’ll know what trigger screws are, etc. I don’t think it will happen again! :eusa-popcorn:

I think it should be standard with equipment for the Matrix and Micros. Their draw weights are way higher than the older bows ! dry fired some of my exo series crossbow with no issue and each time at a 3 d shoot ....I was standing at the pin ready to shoot , an unsafe condition on course is called pull the arrow off the rail , wait for the ok to resume some minutes later ..Step up to the pin aim and .....>>>>..BAMMM.......When i did it the last time with my y25 at the R100 people were amazed. That on the string came off ...and was able to finish the course !

I would like anti dry fire for my cut down 115/90 lb Vixen Target bow but can't justify the price. Get talking and distracted trying to run 3D shoots, and shoot at same time can make one a dry fire King.
