Review: Draw Loc Vertical Crossbow

Post by XB I GO »

This is a cool little vertical crossbow. It is basically a mini compound bow with a stock. Things I liked: awesome trigger pull, lightweight, quiet. Things I didn't like: Keep your hands on the grips and body parts away from the string and cables!, hand cocked.

This takes down with the press of a button and is lightweight so a kid or smaller person can carry or pack it easily. The guy at the booth asked me if I was right or left handed and I said "right". Either he gave me a left or I would rather shoot this the other way around. It uses regular arrows like any other vertical bow. It has decent velocity in up to 300 fps depending on arrows. It was accurate and the scope was decent. The dealer price was great but I won't say what it was. The street price is $750 ready to shoot with a few arrows. If you like to be different or you need a really lightweight unit with a stock this is something to look at. You have to be very careful and safe with it.

I have one yes it is light just a bear for me to cock you can get a crank for it . Also the scope is off set that is something to get used to . Thinking about turning it into a bowfishing bow . You can also change the draw wt just like a vert bow .

I do think he handed you the wrong bow to shoot. Most right handed people are also right eye dominate and will find it hard to shoot a scope left handed using a non dominate eye to aim with.

I am left handed and the scope on my draw loc is on the right it is offset it is supposed to be that way . When I put the stock to my left shoulder the scope is right with my left eye.

Vertical or not still not good enough even for a handicaped hunter to the "purest" hunters of Montana. That state wont even let a handicaped hunter use a crossbow.. ........shame on them.!!!!!!!
