Sadly, this day probably goes by largely unobserved up here. It's not a holiday and our memorial for it is over in France. Our prime minister makes a speech but unless it's a slow news day it rarely gets much if any mention in the media. Exceptions were the 90th anniversary ceremony after the monument was restored and the 100th anniversary.

So thanks for reminding me, because I forgot too.
