SAD Too Week To Draw My Micro 355

Post by Stepnoutnb »

Well I finally put her together this evening, she’s beautiful. My target won’t be here for a bit but I decided to practice cocking and de-cocking the bow(no bolt safety first)!
Very disappointed I can get pass the anti dry fire but don’t have the strength to actually load it
Well I guess I knew from all the reading I’ve done p, that’s why I bout the package with the C2 crank. I got the crank out finished the job. I know how the C2 can grind your hands trying to de-cock but I had to use it. I made sure everything was clear, and I had good solid footing and I good cloves on. I was actually quite pleased how that went. I’ll be doing allot of practice just loading and unloading the bow. I’m almost 62 and only 5’7” small framed. My arms seemed too high I couldn’t pull up higher :eusa-violin:
Seems like it’s the C2 or nothing

Have you tried shortening you cocking rope by 2"?
You'll have to pull up the string to get the hooks on, but it will really help at the top end. Let you legs do the lifting.

Thanks I’ll try that.

This makes it easier to cock. I cant cock my crossbow with the standard factory rope but I am able to with this one. I'm only 5"2 and 13 years old.

The Micro 355 is a beast to cock. It's one of the bows I had and sold.

I now have the Micro 335 nightmare and can cock it to hunt. For multiple shot sessions on targets I use the charger crank. No sense in risking injury.. ;)

The charger crank cost more $ than the old C2 but it is definitely worth it..

The Micro came with the C2 crank and I just ordered the DrStirrup 4x4kocker. I hope it works for me.
Thanks for all the replies.

Shorten the rope as much as you can and that will help.

you could get a charger ext crank and use it with it you can uncock it safely as that is one thing it can do . I don't think you should be uncocking it with the c2. Just saying !

As others are saying, shorten the cocking rope a bit. I'm 71, and when I bought the 380 I experienced the exact same thing you described, I could get the string past the anti dry fire, but not far enough to engage the trigger claw, shortened the rope and never had a problem since.
As jansey stated, you will have to pull one side of the string up to get the second hook on, but that's NBD, then just stand up with arms straight and it will cock every time.

Thanks all, I really appreciate all the information. I'll be shorting the rope and trying that and the 4x4 is on order as well.

Don't be afraid to experiment with the 4x4 cocker length too.
