Quill Bolts GLUE Can't Get The Field Points In
Two of the Quill bolts that came with my Micro 355 have glue in the holes. How do I remove the glue so I can put the field points in?

Not sure of the size but you could run a tap in to clear the threads

Maybe try round Mini file to file down the glue sufficiently to seat your FP.
Might need some patience , dexterity and a flashlight.
Also, the right sized Dremel bit will speed up the repair.

Acetone, and a q-tip.

Proper size drill bit, turned by hand. Possibly in a tap handle. Should cut glue easily without too much chance of mishap.

No. I've used nail polish remover, it works, it just takes longer.

look at the bright side.at least you got glue. most of my quills have spit the inserts. id run a tap or get them replaced. dont like to put any chemicals near carbon or glue.

Thanks I’ll keep that in mind. I only put the remover on the q tip and moistened the inside of the insert. There was no glue in the threads fortunately.

This is a great idea as well. I’ve used drill bits by hand to countersink shotgun primers inside a drilled out 32 cal brass to use in a blank gun. I soused to run pointers and use the shotgun primers for firing after the flush. Helps steady the dogs from breaking point after the flush. Never ran in a shoot to retrieve trials so the digs had to remain steady after the flush.flightattendant100 wrote: ↑Sat May 04, 2019 9:37 pmProper size drill bit, turned by hand. Getting way off topic cheers
