Micro 355 and Zombie Slayer 18” .001 Arrows

Post by Mnlc90 »

I was having trouble with my Quill arrows. Although I could nearly hit the same hole with the same arrow at 30 yds, they all hit differently. They were usually 2” or so groups and plenty good for hunting.

I wanted more though. My research led me to Zombie Slayers at 18” with .001 straightness.

The first three shots were amazing. They were shooting like I wanted. The groups at 30 yds were tight enough to avoid shooting at the same dot. What really made my mind up was at 40 and 50 yds, the groups were just as tight!

I don’t hunt at that distance. But I know the capability of my Excalibur now. Very happy with the decision!!

I think the biggest difference between those two is that the Black Eagles have a heavier insert up front giving you more FOC . Sort of like darts to make a simple explanation here. If you shoot those stock arrows with 150 grain points I would expect better results. JMHO, and past experience. I do think you made a good choice in switching though.
