Too many models to choose from??

Post by 76chevy »

Right now excal has 15 models of X-bows in their catalog.

I love my Grizz and did some mods to it. Nikon Bolt scope, DB buster stops, sling, etc...

Kind of overwhelming to pick one from the catalog for someone just getting into it. I personally wish they would go back to the basics and not chase the speed/draw weight game and put better components, starting with the scopes, on the bow to begin with (or sell bare bows).

Even though we feel the same way . Variety and color selection is what sells . It's like fishing .....the more casts you make the more chances you have of hooking a customer. Now they have a speed war to deal with .
I just wish they could have a traditional line kinda like s&w does with the old wheelguns that appeals to me.

As long as it's a black bow I like it! Lol

My micro nightmare is still impressive in the accuracy and dependability department. I still see no reason to upgrade! :)

Got a chance to check out a 360 take down and feel it would be the best all round bow for me it is on the short list for me.

Choices are good.

If I were restricted to only crossbows all the time, I’d have a faster, easier to handle top dog.

The lower speed martix series does all I need them to do.

a traditional line would be great idea!

I dont think the speed war is going to be good for hunters or crossbow hunting in general though. Seems a real race to top the 500FPS mark right now.
