Excalibur Twilight DLX Scope Illuminated Reticle Help.

I am having an issue keeping the illuminated reticle working on this scope. Fresh battery everything is great, when I go back again days to weeks later no matter what I do I cant get them to light up again. Customer service says to bend out the prongs on the cap and wipe clean the inside where the battery goes. I did that and nothing. I had this issue with a previous scope and Customer service was great with a fast turnaround.
Looking for tips and previous experiences for this same issue.

I had a couple of Taczone scopes over the years do the same thing and I sent them back to Danny Miller and he swapped them back out for me. I'd give him a call.
