Re: POI shift with matrix 380
Ok thanks I'll see what happens tomorrow. If no good I will re-zero with a red dot.
Re: POI shift with matrix 380
So I took a week to get back to the range. I have never drilled down on the bows accuracy, mostly shooting at 20 yards for the hunting I was doing so this is what happens when you start shooting longer ranges
Appreciate any opinions on below. Apologies for the links this site didn't like the bbcode I use for photoraphs.
Brace height. The string had settled against the pads during the week in storage.
I adjusted it to about 4mm from the pads, couldnt remember if this is the correct amount, its a bit more than 1/8"
Results
Diablo bolt and 150 grain field, tip, 400 grains
The crossbow velocities are shown, very impressed, average around 365fps, only 2-3 fps variance.
3 shots using same arrow .75" group at 40 yards.

Adjusted zero, did'nt exactly pan out. next group was way down to the right. I'm prepared to consider I 'maybe' adjusted the turrets incorrectly. Okay group size, 1" exactly.
Rezored, got it to bull as shown, 1.68" group ( excuse the random 22LR holes)

I was running out of time, so brought it into 20 yards and shot 3 different arrows to target.
Shot about 4.5" high of centre. Group size 1.8". Is 4.5" high POI at 20 yards indicative of a 40 yard zero, or do you think the POI should be lower?

The bow is still strung but I took the front off for storage. Will take it back out in a few days and see if its still zeroed, get some solid groups at 20 yards...
Thanks for any critique on the above.
* just checked my notebook and I wrote some of the some of the decimals wrong in the speed readings. The whole part of the numbers are correct though
