Fall turkey, deer

Post by elkaholic »

Hello all-

Wondering how the "yard birds" are doing in your area.

I'm up here in the Northwoods of wisc. , with fall huntin seasons a few weeks away.

Turkey numbers seem down from last yr. But I was here end of oct.. Just saw my first chicks, I mean days old. Seems a little late for nesting to be still going on.

Wondering if the long , cold winter hit them hard.

Lots if does and fawns , few small bucks , had hoped for better antler growth too!

I’m down in Ripon of Fond Du Lac county and many turkeys and I also have some nice racks on quite a few deer on camera!

Central Ontario. South and East Lake Simcoe. More turkeys than ever before. Stray birds in ever field. Toms were strutting up until the heat wave last week.
