Xact cut on higher fps bows

Post by longbow joe »

I have used the xact cut on my 355 no banding no issues
Great head my new favorite. Has any one used them on a 400+ crossbow
I presume they were tested but my friend just bought a 440 that's a lot faster than my 355.
They seem to be very sturdy and have a strong spring even way more than a spitfire.
I would like to hear anything even the maximum fps that excalibur has rated them for before they would open in flight.
Vixen 2, metal ibex,Phoenix, sapphire, matrix 330 ,matrix 355 ,vortex and baby grand piano y25 relayer.
Trigger tecs, leupold crossbones and nikon bolts.
Zombie slayers and mostly swat broadheads.

I believe Mr. bcxbow has been using them with both bd380 and BD400 with no adverse effect. I'm sure he will chime in.
Probably the most reliable mechanical on the market, but being labeled Excalibur limits it to no longer being an aftermarket head. IMO.

The Xact is a Innerlok EXP . Excalibur had Sullivan industries make them with the Excalibur Xact label they really are not just for crossbows . As for them working at higher speeds they should work the same .

You are correct Chris,

Joe, I can’t vouch for the performance from a bow shooting over 384fps but I can tell you that I have certainly done stress tests at 384fps shooting the same head over 30 times into a block target and only changing the blades when they bend. Not one premature opening from that head or any of the other x-act/innerloc exp’s. No banding and no problem. I did order some replacement clip loc pins but have yet to have to replace one. I believe that there wouldn’t be any problems shooting these from the fastest crossbows. They stay closed during flight and open every time on impact. BTW, love your paint job.
