We really need the rain up here, been missing us north and south lately. We’re in our normal August weather pattern it seems. Hope you’re ready by the opener!

It was just a sprinkle. Not even enough to knock the dust down on the gravel road.
I cleared a lot of area with the sickle. I don’t know how they did it back in the 1700’s. That stuff wore me out.

We had a lease East of you several years back, lots of big deer. We used to do the Covered Bridge Fest every year and have been all over that area. You should do well this fall, the numbers are still good in the northern half of the state. Hope to see some nice pics. soon.

I have a couple bridges by the house. When the leaves are gone you can see one of them. I guarantee that you have been very close to my house. You have prolly drove right by where I hunt.

HaHa, probably right. We started going down there every year back in 1981. Man that sounds like forever ago! :wtf:

I went back today to get the tree that ate my chainsaw blade the last time I was in the woods.
I am no lumberjack so I give trees a big deal of respect. The tree I had worked on had fallen from a storm. It was wedged between two trees and blocked my entrance and would hamper me later if I killed a deer.
I had pinched it between where I had started my cut. I didn’t want to leave the chain and if not for that I would of left and accepted defeat. After working on it patiently I did get it to fall the rest of the way.
I did see a smaller buck out in the field today aftet I got done. I should be done now unless I buy some throw and grow to spread around.

Won’t be long now, good luck. I’ll be in Monon Saturday setting up some trail cameras, just got this lease so we’re hoping for some good hunting.

Looks like the DNR lowered your guys antlerless limit also. I don’t know what farms they visited to get such low numbers?
