Hawke XB30 compact SR v/s Excalibur tac 100

Post by Turtleman »

Am trying to decide between the two scopes. Sounds like a lot of people like the Hawkes. I like the simplicity of the new Excalibur tac 100 scope but want to have good glass for practicing out too 100 yds. Don’t like that the most expensive Hawke XB pro isn’t illuminated out to 100yds. Am stuck between the Hawke XB compact SR and the tac 100. What’s some of the thoughts from guys that might practice to 100yds and/or have tried both of these scopes?

I couldn't get much feedback on the Tact 100 but I should be able to give you my opinion on it by the end of next week . I ordered one from Wyvern's this afternoon . I have never actually handled one but from the pics of I've seen of the reticle I think I will like it . I like my Tact Zone a lot but I really prefer a dot reticle for hunting and the Tact 100 has dots .
