I don't think they would design a new riser, connection and REDS for one model? I believe there is more in store.

I agree . I'm figuring there will be an Axe 360 out in January at the ATA show . That's the one I'm waiting for .

You are probably right. On the other hand, considering the price point of the AXE and its high quality, if they do introduce others of its kind, I would think that it would undermine the current higher priced models. So unless the plan is to discontinue those models and replace them with models using the new style riser, I'm not sure it would make sense.

Now that I own the AXE and can confirm that it does not hold a back seat to the more pricey models, it's made me think. Why was it introduced mid-season and why is it priced as such.
If I had to guess, I would say that it's forward planning on Excalibur's part. Price it low, increase the volume sales, and get it into the hands of as many consumers as possible. Then hopefully by the ATA show it will be a proven winner, and the public will be ready for the newly introduced models of its kind and the price can be adjusted accordingly.

Just a thought.....Only Excalibur knows for sure.

Dan, you even beat Jeff!!!
Lol!

I think the AXE is a great bow. However not much faster than my Nightmare. I see no benefit for me to dish out the $800.00 to gain 5fps... lol

Looks nice.

How does it compare to the Matrix Grizlly with the DR Stirrups installed for noise?
