Personally, I Would Rather Be In A Tree Stand Thinking About God And His Beautiful Creations, Than Sitting At Church Thinking About Being In My Tree Stand. :)

Sunday hunting has been allowed in my State for my entire life. Can't imagine not being able to hunt on Sunday.

Dont care one way or the other. Religion or not l think the world needs a break for a day. I dont have a problem with the stores being closed on Sunday like in the past. The world is so greedy .
I was raised in a strick catholic family but l only attend church a few times a year . As the previous member said l feel more at home with god in my tree and that is very true.Just because l dont go to church dosnt mean l abandoned god at all.

We have had Sunday hunting for a number of years in SC. We hunt on Sunday sometimes but many times I don't take an animal because I don't feel like working or hauling it to the processor. Sometimes I just enjoy being in the stand and seeing what's walking around.
i think a lot of city hunters who have a long drive to their camps or hunting land would feel the same. sunday is a day of travel for them. i didn't make the same $$ as my city dwelling high school buddies but i got to hunt or fish before or after work when the "run" or the "flight" was going strong. i have found a duck blind or a fishing boat as good as a tree stand for having a heart-to-heart with the Lord.

Had that conversation with my pastor before. I was asked why I wasn't in church on Sunday.

Told him I was hunting.

I couldn't get any closer to God , than where I was. Sitting on top of a mountain, miles from the truck, right where you told me to go !

This season I'll be hunting many Sundays because I'm out of vacation time! Lol

WOW ..that's ironic because I've been retired for 15 years. Look at the bright side, all things being equal, you'll probably have 15 more years after I'll be pushing up daisies. Then again one never knows. I retired young, because I realized it was later than I thought and it was time for me to reap the benefits of my toils.

BTW...did you order the AXE yet. :P

Retired or not l hunt and fish every day l can like it's my last....always did. But it's still never enough.
I'm 53 with minor health issues and a tired body I'm afraid when l retire l wont be so resilient ... it only gets worse.

I agree with you Joe, eventually the time comes when we are not able to do the things that we want to do. One must take advantage while one has their health, since being young doesn't guarantee health. As has been seen, one can have a heart attack at 45, while another lives to 95. One never knows what one's fate holds. The bottom line, don't wait for tomorrow to do what you can do today.

No. I do not agree to Sunday Hunting. More so, because of traditions, I guess... That said, Sunday is a day of Worship, Family time, and Sunday Dinners... Here in PA, they are attempting to pass a 3 Sundays per Deer season law. Currently you can only Hunt "No closed season" game... If you are a serious Deer Hunter (or any Big Game) You use vacation, sick days, etc., for that time off... I am soooo tired of hearing I can get off work, I have no vacation left, WAAAAAAH  :eusa-violin: Besides, How many of you guys, actually think that the wife is going to be ok with you going Hunting on Sundays also?? :eusa-snooty: :eusa-hand: Let me know how that works out for ya'...

:eusa-doh: DOH WHAT WAS i THINKING :eusa-doh:

Never on a Sunday :eusa-naughty:
Oh, you can kiss me on a Monday
A Monday, a Monday is very, very good
Or you can kiss me on a Tuesday
A Tuesday, a Tuesday, in fact I wish you would
Or you can kiss me on a Wednesday
A Thursday, a Friday and Saturday is best
But never, never on a Sunday :eusa-naughty:
A Sunday, a Sunday, 'cause that's my day of rest
:eusa-pray:
