Finally tested my new ACP Trigger

Post by Reinyrooster »

Well I installed an ACP trigger into my almost new Micro 335 a while ago but wasn't able to get out to try it until today. I am very happy with it. It has virtually no creep and a clean crisp break. Much better feel then the stock trigger that came with the bow.
Have her sighted in at 20, 30 and 40 yards shooting nice tight groups.
Now I just need to see what the surgeon says on Wednesday as to when I get my new hip.....that will determine whether or not I will get to do any real-life testing of the bow with bambi.

That's good to hear about the ACP trigger. Hopefully you'll be able to get out in the field and try it out on bambi.
Speaking of triggers, I know the one in my Axe isn't an ACP, but it has absolutely no creep, and it breaks like glass.
Add to that how quiet it is in comparison to my other Excaliburs, I got to say WOW :!: :!:
Yes, I'm really impressed  and happy with the total package. :D :

reiny, i was surprised when i had anterior hip replacement by how soon i was walking around feeling antsy at not getting out and doing. always tough to know when to schedule when you go from hunting season to snow & ice season to sugar season to no-snow-get-some-chores-done season. i would recommend getting ur new hip in the winter and then a looong recovery in the bahamas! best of luck.

ACP trigger is pretty darn impressive. I like the two stage setting

Two stage is where it's at. Like breaking a glass rod with a velvet glove

I've heard that for those that are into 2-stage triggers, the ACP trigger is awesome, and better than the TT.
However, I prefer a single stage, and I'm lucky to have good triggers on my Excaliburs.
The trigger on my new Axe isn't an ACP, but it has absolutely no creep, and "breaks like glass", so I do not see the need for an ACP at this time.

That doesn't mean that I wouldn't change my mind if I had the opportunity to try one.
