Now I'm Afraid to Shoot My Matrix crossbows

Post by ComfyBear »

Well that's not exactly true, but now that I have an AXE 340, its Sound Deadening System and Air Brakes makes IT more pleasant to shoot. 8)
I guess I just have to get some SDS and Air Brakes for my Matrix bows.

Your not making my decision any easier! Lol
A touch of frost has heightened your awareness and your heart steadily beats in anticipation. Your senses are suddenly alert to the movement on the forest floor and you realize that the moment of truth is at hand.

In all seriousness, hearig is believing. I recall when I first got my Mega 405, I noticed right off the difference between it and my Exo-series. As time went on and I shot my Matrix more and my Exo-series less, I got used to the increased volume and harshness of the Matrix bows. Now getting the Axe has made me once again realize the the difference.

What surprises me is that all my Matrix have DR Stirrup dB Killers stoppers and limb silencers, while my AXE is fully equipped with SDS and Air Brakes. However, with the AXE all I notice is the "thud" of the arrow hitting the target, while with my Matrix the "crack" of the bows predominate.

I must say it again, hearing is definitely believing, prior to owning my AXE I would never have believed there would be so much difference. Now I'm wondering if it's the SDS & Air Brakes that are solely responsible, or if the newly designed rail and riser also play a factor.
