The Axe is Here!

Post by xcaliber »

Got the Axe a day late, but hey, who's complaining. I put the new Nikon P3 scope on it, and a lightly used Flemish String, took only one shot into the garage. I like it. I used a 17" Zombie Slayer, and they seem a bit long, even the 16.5" will be too long in my opinion, but I'll figure out what I'm going to use with the two Micro's tomorrow. The coated arrow retainer is a real booger to slip an arrow under that has reflective wraps on it, let me just say that right out. The size of this bow feels like a toy, until you shoot it. Too many kids running around to shoot it again today, so I'll get to the range soon. I will cut some arrows, and strip off all graphics for the Micro's. The trigger feels real nice, but only took one shot. I have the dbKiller's coming in the next day, or two. Those will make this baby even more quiet! Now I have to figure out what parts to part with, the Queen is getting ready to sell this house soon, and no junk in her line of sight is acceptable! :wtf:
More to come after I get out on the range for a spell with her.

Nice bow, looks like mine's twin brother. All it's missing is a cheek piece. Before you replace the REDS, with the dB Killers, take a few shots, you might decide that the REDS will do the job.

Thanks Eric, and yes Sir, I did put the black cheek piece on, and it's great! I thought it was going to make it look wonky, but nope! :eusa-dance:

In regards to the black cheek piece add on that you gave it today, certainly adds a bit of character that matches the scope and overall suits the camo the way I see it.

Yes I also have one on mine, it does blend in nicely with the camo, SDS, scope and black quiver. All in all it's a nice looking setup.

Joe those limb silencers seem installed wrong to you, but since they work, perhaps it's yours that are installed wrong.

OK, cut some arrows to 15.00" and got them all ready, swapped the Big Foot stirrup from the 355 Micro to the Axe, and vice versa. Installed the cheek piece on the Axe, and got a case coming in the mail. Now I have a few Honey Do's to finish up, then hopefully the range this afternoon. db Killer's will be here this afternoon as well, so I might just pop them on before heading out, I know I'll have to twist the string about 3-4 times for the longer rubber. Anyway, I'll check back in later folks!
