Axe Limb problem

Post by hunter with MS »

Was shooting this afternoon and after a shot retrieved my arrow. Picked up the Axe and was greeted with a splinter in my thumb looked very close found a splinter on the top inside of the right limb . Not very long or deep but it's there just before the limb strap right through the camo filled out RMA on it I have around sixty shots on it , I know It will be corrected looks like the back up will be used for bear next week which will probably be the 308 short .

I kind of like my 308 Short and nothing wrong with it being a primary hunting tool!

Do you have a picture to share, would like to see a limb that has splintered?

Thanks, Be Safe, and Wishing you the best on your bear hunt!

Sorry to hear about the inconvenience.

The 308 getting called up from the minors won’t be an issue. It’s certainly capable.

Good luck and have a safe hunt.

Pop that small splinter off and go hunting. It will not affect your POI at all.

That's what I saw when I looked at it closer it is sliver it took the camo finish off and a little fiberglass . I will be shooting it later this morning . I doesn't look like it will cause any more damage .

It was a sliver clipped it off and went back to shooting it still dead on . The 308 short will do the job I wanted just a bit more speed and power but the 308 short is my backup as they both shoot the same arrow and weight . I shoot the Gold tip Swift pro made by Wyvern creations total weight with 100 grain tip is 370 grain .
