Almost here

Post by BrotherRon »

I will be retiring Sept 12'th... Four 10 hour days left. :)
Hunting season is almost here and I would like to can one or two tick toters if possible.
I have lots of work to do though because I plan on selling my house and moving to Michigan to be closer to our grand daughter and her family.
I need to finish stacking the firewood I have cut and split, as well as paint a couple rooms and change the pump on the boiler system i have. I also have lots of packing to do and need to get things ready for the moving sale I will need to have to eliminate 35 years of things I really don't need.
I am also in the process of building another storage shed at the cabin so that I can keep some of the things there that I will need when ever I come for a vist to the cabin..weed eater, chainsaw....
I will check in whenever I can but probably won't be as active as normal until things settle down.

God Bless and be safe.
Ron.

.....Ron:

....Congratulations on your retirement.....May the Good Lord bless you with health so that you will enjoy many years of retirement, including hunting and family! :eusa-dance:

..... I, one the other hand, have 1862 days till full retirement at 66 and 8 months....Honestly, I don't see waiting that long....most likely will retire (the Good Lord Willing) at 65....

.....but as my daughter says, "you make plans and God laugh's!" :eusa-naughty: :eusa-snooty:

Been retired since 2002; then worked part-time until 2010. Time speeds by; Wish the health was a little better.

You’re the first person I’ve heard of who retired TO Michigan! You must really enjoy that cold weather!
Actually, you’re making the better choice, in moving to where the grandkids are. So many Northerners move to Florida, only to be ice-free but lonely.

I think Ron is going to a better place. Atleast where's no big wind that is called Dorian :wtf:
All kidding aside, I hope my southern friends fair well.

Contrats on the retirement. I've got about 2000 days left, but who's counting?

Hopefully you'll find the transition and relocation to be a smooth one. Learning a new hunting location can be challenging but that helps test your years of wisdom. Enjoy all it all you can.
