Doe takes a Dirt Nap

Post by Hester0305 »

Well my season starting off pretty good this morning with me getting a 23 yard shot with my Excal 350 and a NAP 170 gr. FOC broadhead at an unsuspecting doe. She gave me a quartering away shot with the arrow exiting behind the front shoulder and into the opposite leg as it buried into the ground. She ran low to the ground for about 60 yards until she crashed just out of sight. The blood trail was awesome as usual with these broadheads and they continue to amaze me at the damage they do. Here is a link for pictures.

Thanks guys my wife is hunting in the backyard this afternoon after one of the 3 nice bucks that's been showing up several times a week. I hope she connects on one and puts me to dragging for her later.

My wife hunted this afternoon and saw 6 deer but no shooter bucks. She saw a doe and 3 fawns and a 4 pt and a 5 pt but the big bucks didn't come this afternoon. She's going to try again tomorrow afternoon
