I've had it a couple times and really liked it. Problem was it was when my son was still at home and it didn't last very long. A batch the size you have wouldn't last long with him around. It seems to disappear overnight. :lol:

Looks good! I can't eat anything with vinegar or spices added to it.
I can't have venison sausage either. It suck's to get old on a restricted diet.

My Dad said when he was PH in Africa they would put the meat strips under the horse blanket and saddle and leave it there for a few days. The heat and salt from the horse would turn the meat strip into biltong. Dad said one client was a "big fat guy" that would always eat all the days biltong. He was rude and didn't ask if anyone else wanted any, he just ate it until it was gone. After a few days they of this ran out of biltong again and he asked Dad if there was more. They stopped, pulled a saddle and there was the meat lying over the horses back. The "big fat guy" didn't believe it at first, but then Dad handed it to him and he gagged and threw up!
