Wis opening day

Post by Riflemanz »

Wis opening day started today so my brother and I went out this morning from 6am-9am. Temp was 53* perfect weather. At 7am I hear my brothers bd360 go off and I hope he nailed one. He said a spike and doe came up to him. The spike was at 20 and the doe was at 40. He said he hit a branch with the arrow and the doe walked off. He said he had fun. At 8:30am I was sitting in my ground blind with my ghillie suit on when I had to pee, wouldn’t you know it as soon as I stand up and start going a doe and her yearling walk up at 10 yds and stare at me! My bow is laying on the ground. I tried to grab it but she blew and that was my morning hunt with my brother. We enjoyed being out together. We’ll try again in the morning.

I saw a few does and a few small bucks this morning. Nothing like being back out in the woods again for another season! Good luck!

The weatherman was saying heavy rain this morning but I just got up and no rain. So much for their forecasting. I used to hunt evenings only but now switched it to morning hunts. I looking for that buck I saw on camera in the morning. Good luck to you too!

Raining like a cow peeing on a flat rock here this morning. Must have drifted South.
Good luck Steve, hope you get that big boy!
