My new Assassin 360 wont shoot lumenoks

Odd, if that's the case, is it a possibility that there is something on the claw itself holding the nock out? Doesn't make sense, the luminock is the same diameter as the shaft.

This part I do not understand. Can anyone enlighten me?Buckjunkey wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 4:47 pm
There is a small opening that the nock end goes through to contact the string, and the lumenoks can’t get through it.

Sounds like the latches to me!

That's how I understand the statement as well. The luminocks won't fit throught the latches

I see that part. Maybe the Lumenoks are burred from shooting at the same spot but.... this below is not understandableBuckjunkey wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 4:47 pmbelieve is the problem, is the diameter of the lumenoks are in fact preventing contact with the string when cocked.

Wonder if maybe the lumenok contacts are sticking out a little in the exact wrong place?

Re: My new Assassin 360 wont shoot lumenoks
I had returned the quill bolts with lumenoks, so I went and got more (our gander here in Pensacola is closing so I got an insane deal ($10 for six of them)). I verified that they do in fact fit, and yet it still shot two feet low. At this point the only thing I haven’t tried is the much heavier point (someone earlier suggested 150 grain). If I can find them, I suppose I’ll try that next.
I tried to post pics, but the files are too large. I’ll try and change their format and get them up here.

You can email a picture to Boo, Janesy, or me. We'll post it for you. A heavier tip in your case may not be the solution, but we can take things one at a time. These Excalibur Crossbows are tack drivers, so we need to understand what it is that needs fixing.

Yes for sure, happy to help.
The other thing to consider is that you could potentially (mostly likely but I won't hazard a guess) be having a partial dryfire each time this happens. This could be causing more problems down the road, if not immediately.
Are the fired arrows showing any marks? Specifically where the luminock is seating into the shaft?

Yep, also look real close at the rear end of the shaft for cracks.janesy wrote: ↑Mon Sep 16, 2019 9:39 pmYes for sure, happy to help.

Wait a sec, when you say there's a small opening where the luminoks fit through, it sounds to me like you're talking about the ADF you're resting the arrow against. Perhaps I'm mistaken but just in case, push the arrow back HARD until you hear it go 'thunk' and visually see it resting on the string. If the luminok is seated out too far you'll see the back of the shafts cracked and splintered. Test your arrows by physically pushing the luminoks sideways and look for fractures. If you find any, DO NOT shoot those arrows as this can be very dangerous. An unsquare arrow should not be showing that severe a reaction unless your arrows are already compromised with fractures.

Re: My new Assassin 360 wont shoot lumenoks
Ok all, problem solved. I called Excalibur again and spoke to Peter (same gent I spoke to last week). After hearing the details again, he recommended scuffing the end of the nocks with sand paper. I used some 60 grit and etched the end of each nock, and all 6 bolts fired flawlessly. I sincerely appreciate all of the replies. Thanks a million.
