My wife kills buck #2 an 8 pt

Post by Hester0305 » Wed Sep 18, 2019 7:44 am

Well my wife has killed another buck and has tagged out on her bucks for the season. I was going to have to work this afternoon and she asked me to cock her crossbow for her because she had a good feeling about hunting, well she got in the playhouse and got setup while I went ahead to work for a few hours. She started texting me about all the deer she was seeing while I was working and right before dark she texted me that the two 8 points had showed up and was feeding, well the next text I got was that she had shot the smaller 8 pt. because he gave her a broadside shot at 30 yards. I knew I couldn't leave work for a little while because I was working security so I called my son in law to come over and track her deer for her. She made another great shot and the deer went between 50-60 yards using her Matrix 350 and the Truglo Hybrid Titanium X Broadhead. We took her deer to the processor and it weighed 154 lbs live weight. As you can see in the picture she is one happy lady and I'm blessed to have a wife that enjoys hunting almost as much as I do. My son in law had dragged the deer and had it loaded on my truck by the time I could make it home, I'm really going to have to do something special for him. We have been blessed to have the opportunities at taking such nice animals all on our land. I guess I'm going to have to play catch up for the rest of the season I told her the bigger 8 pt is probably traumatized now and will never show back up lol

Congrats!! That's great.

If I left my wife with a cocked crossbow, she'd mow down the whole herd for sure. I have a great video of her shooting effortless bull's eyes in her bathrobe and hair curlers. She has no interest in hunting, though. I think she doesn't want to bruise my fragile ego by being better at it than me :eusa-doh:
