I must have missed the recipe, would like to see it. Back in the day there was a product called Cover Up that smelled like pure vanilla but I didn't taste it. There was a time I wouldn't leave the truck without it. Always like to put down afew does mid October before primetime. With the daughter deciding to have a boytoy and neither one has much money it takes about 6 to 7 deer for us to get thru the year.

Two all beef patties special sauce lettuce cheese pickles onions on a sesame seed bun....
No that's the whooper..

I part real vanilla extract
I part almond extract
I part real maple syrup (not pancake syrup)
Pancake syrup will work but don't be a cheapskate)
Good luck with it.

.....sounds like that will attract a convention of Yogi's from all states this side of the Mississippi! :eusa-think: :wtf:

.....Joe, in addition to attracting said deer, have you found it to also be a bear attractant?

......Please advise how to use said recipe?

.....If it doesn't work for me, me thinks it would work well for breakfast on a few slices of toast. :eusa-doh:

PS: In the northern part of The People's Republic of New Jersey there is a fairly large bear population due to the closing of bear hunting on state land....all result of our liberal POS Governor!

Just put it in a small craft store or harbor freight squeeze bottle and use as you would any other scent. A couple drops about 20 yards from stand.
Some have said being a food based lure might not be legal in some states.
Either way l think a game wardens got to be pretty desperate to resort to that level but it must be brought up.the smell is pretty powerful and basically everything likes it including bears.

Interesting. I'll give this a try on axis deer and let you know if they like it, too. How long does it last? Do you apply it right before going into the stand, or can you put it out several hours before?

I made a small batch up for Thursday morning when my brother and I are going out hunting. Weather should be 50*. I’ll pour that on the side of the trail and hope it stops a doe.

I used some Vanilla Killer probably 20 years ago that Dan Fitsgerald endorsed< I was able to kill a big doe while it had its nose stuck to the leaves that I poured it on. It was a cool 28 degrees that morning I was hunting during Black Powder season and it was pretty amazing to see the doe come right to the bush where I poured the Vanilla Killer on. I'm glad you shared the recipe I'd like to try it again and see If I have the same results.

Thanks for sharing,
