Excellent redneck engineering!
I used part of aluminum crutches to fabricate transducer mounts for 2 boats, works perfect, wonder how many other things can be made out of them.

I made a chop saw stand out of a walker. I made a long distance measuring device by attaching a bike tire to a crutch and putting a clicker on it. It required some math and dusting off ol' pi, but proved accurate enough for the job at hand. I've used various lengths for this and that over the years. Very handy stuff.

The neighbors were throughing out a mini refrigerator that did not work and I turned it into an ammo storage unit.
