Rain, Rain, and more rain.

Post by Riflemanz »

All it does is rain. The fields are mud and more mud! My buddy said he's going to use an ice fishing sled to get his deer out. Anyone use one in the mud?

So that's where our rain is at. We haven't had more than a sprinkle for what seems like a month. We're loosing leaves because its so dry. It certainly hasn't been cool enough yet.

If your sled is the plastic type, mine works great on wet leaves or wet grass. But wet dirt (mud) grabs it significantly. I'm better off without the sled when its muddy.

I'm not sure how it would work but it has to be better than draggin a deer threw the muck. Or you could bone it out where in fall and take acouple backpack loads out. I would chose the second.

Had a brief shower here last week but other than that it’s been pretty much dry since the first of September!
