long limber

Post by flinthead »

My name is Mark and I'm a long limber...

Never had a Micro, but I have had a Matrix 355, which was great.

In the end, I have to admit that the long limb bows just feel right to me.

I have had a Exocet, a vortex, and a vixen II... that's a sweetheart bye the way!!

Just yesterday, I got lucky on an Equinox with less than 100 arrows through it... can't wait to get this bad boy set up for deer season!!

Nice. If the long limb formula works no need to change.

The long limb ones feel right to me too. I have two Equinox, a Vortex, and a Phoenix.

Before I got an Excalibur, I handled my nephew's Matrix 380 and a friend's Equinox. I just liked the feel of the Equinox better.

I have no intention of changing at all.

Long limb Excals will shoot great forever...In fact my son almost always chooses my Vixen 2 over his Micro except when we hunt out of a blind.
I've had several Vortex, Exocet, Phoenix, Exomax etc.. The traditional stock and the long limbs just seem to naturally balance the best and IMHO are the best crossbows ever made for hunting. The first time I shot a Vixen I was sold. Plenty of speed for deer and accurate. I will confess that I do love the Micro 308 though after carrying the Long limbs a few times..lol

I have the Matrix 310 which was my first crossbow purchase and I really love it.
I have also owned a Matrix 355 - Matrix 330 - and a poop brown vixen which I really enjoyed as well.
I plan on purchasing a BD330, but don't think I will ever part with the 310....
It's a very sweet shooting crossbow that fits me perfectly ;)

I use an Exomax. Works well in my Ameristep Doghouse ground blind. Have killed over a dozen deer with it so far. Have also used it in my Summit Viper climbing tree stand with no issues. Nothing against the other crossbows just settled in and never looked back.
