Buck lure
What’s everyone’s opinion on the best buck lure I’ve used Tinks and Code Blue can’t really say if I had any real success using any lures. I’ve had more luck rattling. Anyone had success using any lures?

Re: Buck lure
I have a few favorites that have proven to bring in deer. Lowes Buck Butter is great for any deer as it replicates bedding scent. Ever Calm is also good, you will get more doe than bucks with these. Come the last week of October, first week of November here where the rut is usually in full gear around the 12th of November, I rattle & use VS1 or James Valley Full Rut. Code blue tarsal gland gel is another good option, but you cannot use these too early in the season. Bucks know that doe don't go into estrous until beginning of November with a few early ladies maybe. Attract deer, the bucks will follow! I like the bedding scents all season personally.

Re: Buck lure
I simply use my vanilla killer. And tinks regular doe p spray. Always works as cover up and attractant.
I dont use any "rut" lure anymore.
Ever calm is good but its expensive waxed doe p
I put more emphasis on my decoy they are equal in importance

Re: Buck lure
Only one I use anymore is wildlife research 307. Smells good, can use it in any season and it seems to always work for me .
Re: Buck lure
I don't use anything anymore but when I did it was James Valley. I just followed the intructions and I'll be damned if it didn't work just as described. Was like the deer were reading the script, if I really cared anymore I would have full confidience in it today.

Re: Buck lure
In have used a few even used one that I had couriered to my house so it was supposedly fresh lol Had more luck with road wiz than any of the buck lures ! So now I just pee from my stand bwahaha !
Re: Buck lure
Works good for laying a scent trail, the spray bottle sucks. I have used it many times and have had good results more than not. Deer follow right up to your stand sometimes. It works mostly on doe.
