Exomax Arrow Weight

Post by ko4nrbs »

I used the Excalibur Firebolts with a Nufletch Lighted nock(39gr.) and the Excalibur factory aluminum insert for a few years but was never happy with the consistency of the accuracy. I replaced the factory Excalibur factory aluminum insert with a Black Eagle 110gr. brass insert and now can shoot bullseyes very consistently. If my calculations and reloading scale are correct the new combination now gives me an arrow weight of 479.2gr. Looks like my Exomax likes the heavier arrow or my shooting skill has improved??

Crossbow is still plenty fast. Don't have a Chronograph but the arrow is in the target before I can react from the shot.

Glad I read all the threads on similar issues!!

I have found exactly what you did work good also.
Next time when you need bolts go with the stiffer more durable zombie slayer and a 110 brass and you will be even better a shot and wont look back.
Vixen 2, metal ibex,Phoenix, sapphire, matrix 330 ,matrix 355 ,vortex and baby grand piano y25 relayer.
Trigger tecs, leupold crossbones and nikon bolts.
Zombie slayers and mostly swat broadheads.
