Sharp blades?

Post by Robinsons Rebel »

I shot my first hog the other day using my crossbow. I was using the Excalibur x-act broadhead. The bolt broke off and I later found the broadhead in the hog. The head still looks good but is there a way to make sure they are still sharp enough or should I just replace the blades?

They should be replaced after use , you want them shaving sharp ... Not sure of the Bolt cutters size but I used to resharpen my replaceable blades on some of my broadheads.

You can test sharpness by trying to shave your arm another way I use is to see how sharp they are is seeing how well the cut into my thumb nail ...If they slide dull , dig in real hard sharp ...Not perfect but works in my experience
