Easier rope cocking? !

Post by elkaholic »

Ok, I gotta ask.

Does the dr.stirrup 4x4 rope cocker really make any difference on the newer hard cocking crossbows.

I was going to recommend to a freind but figured a few of you may use one!

And had first hand knowledge, information.

....It also helped me when I had my 380 and was using my 335 (which is now on loan to my BIL)!

....was it night and day easier? I would have to say no, but it did make it easier. This is because of the the size of the handles; that your using your four fingers to grip and pull.

.....I would ask on the trading post to see if someone has one for a reasonable price for your friend!

Check out the Black Heart Bypass rope cocker. It has four pulleys and makes cocking much easier than a standard two pulley cocker. It was designed with Micro bows in mind. It is more expensive but shop around online and it can be found cheaper than MSRP.

I made some full fist size handles for my rope and it was a huge help for me pulling my Micro 355 and BD400. Old broom handle cut to fit your entire hand and drill a hole, chamfer, then use your old rope.

Has any one tried the new rope cocker by Black Heart Bypass ? seems like it would be a good thing , they say it reduces weight by 67%.
