Will a Matrix 330 riser work on a Matrix 405

Just wondering if the limbs are the same on both. I have a spare set of limbs for the 405 but if I could just swap the whole riser out it would be nice. I am not having any problems with the 405 at all just wondering.

As far as I know the risers and parts are all the same only the rail is longer or shorter and trigger mech might be different on the most powerful models.

Only thing that may be different is that the 405 riser's limb angle may have been "smoothed" out a bit to help with the limb issues that model had. I never had a 405, I don't have first-hand experience with that issue, only know what I have gleaned from other users when the 405 was going through problems and people were getting a newer generation riser as well as limbs for a warranty repair. Maybe one of the guys in-the-know will respond.

It will fit, it will shoot, just may have crack prematurely.

Robd, that makes sense. I had a limb splinter on my 405 and they had me send in the whole front end and it looks like they removed a little bit of the sharp edges on the limb pockets. I don't have a chronograph but I wonder if the speed changed any with the metal removed. Limbs have held up well since the work so I'm happy with it.

I tested three risers a few years back. One factory, one radiused on the sides and one radiused on the sides and the bottom of the pocket using a micro 355. Radius work was done by Excal factory.

All three risers showed a max spread difference of 5 FPS. And an average of 3 FPS. So for all practical purposes, the factory modification did not noticeably alter the speed at all.
Keep in mind my test were hardly scientific altho the same arrow, limbs, string and chrony setup were used on the same night, indoors using a light kit
