How I do it .
Who ever is the host of your pictures copy the direct link . Then come to the forum , click on the symbol that looks like a mountain with a dot on the top left side . Place your mouse pointer in between the brackets , click then paste the direct link .
To see if you did it right hit preview at the bottom .
Good luck

I don't know about other hunting forums, but all my other forums host all the pictures. I don't post pictures here because I don't want to mess with a third party hosting service. And when the 3rd party hosting service decides to charge, like photo bucket did, all the links get broken and the threads become useless.
Just my thoughts

I have to say this is the biggest reason I seldom post here anymore because the picture part is a pain in the butt I did use photo bucket in the past and had it figured out .

For me , a not so smart computer guy, I used photo bucket with ease,
but can't do it anymore so I don't even try :(

Upload your pictures at imgur.com. It’s free and easier to use versus photo bucket! Good luck!

I agree, Imgur is much easier that photobucket. I swapped after photobucket did the hostage thing, and it turned out it's for the better.
The problem is that there are tons of tutorials that show you how to post a pic, but they are mostly showing you how a particular boards utilizes HTML. By allowing you to click a button and add the code.
But if you took a second and learned the HTML code for posting a pic, you could post on any and every forum board. It's literally 11 keystrokes, if you don't want to click the button.
I don't mean at all for that to sound condescending, as I know HTML is a new language to many. But it's the equivalent of learning "Hola" in Spanish.

I like imgur because you have your own hidden pictures and you own portfolio with all your pictures.

Yeppers!

I've actually been hosting my photos off my Microsoft OneDrive and in the past have even hosted off of Google Drive. If you're already storing your photos on one of these drives, then it's quite easy to host them from there. Neither of these services are going anywhere any time soon and you have a little more control over what gets shared.
