Need new bolts

Post by mattones »

I’m down to 3 of Big Johns LumiZombie and I heard he no longer makes them. By far the best I have used flew like a dream and the colour wrap stands out in any environment.

Can anyone give me any recommendations on where to get new arrows that are constant in weight and hopefully bright coloured wraps on the bolts

The original poster is located in Canada and factoring 37.5 % CC exchange rate , high shipping costs in usd, added brokerage fees ( ridiculously expensive) and then add 13% Import tax makes purchasing direct from Black Eagle prohibitive to say the least.

I doubt that you will find anyone making and selling arrows like those made by Big John. He made those to meet his standards for his own personal use, and that is hard to find. Many here can do very good work but not many use arrows similar to those with wraps, etc. I agree that the best option for you is Boo. Not only a price based decision because he too will provide excellent arrows made right!

Hello all.😀
Been a while. It is true I no longer build custom arrows. Which was not for the money. There was little to none to be made most times. I just loved doing them. Thousands of them. I still have records of all arrows made and details so if anyone wants to have some matched they can at least know that.
Turns out I have a small tumour that causes me to have seizures occasionally and my right arm and hand to shake or tremor. So making arrows is out , time for others to carry on.
Thanks Brothers!!
Take care!!

John - Your Arrows were and are The Bomb.
You know I have shot none other, and that they are a very large part of my success.
I still have 18 left, and am damn careful now whenever I shoot hoping to always recover them (two whitetails I took this fall I did get them both back!).
That said, I will run out down the line, and I actually fear that day.
I will contact you over the HoliDaze and see if you have the recipe for the latest you sent me.
They are simply Incredible!

On other fronts, I keep you in my heart, and in my prayers all the time.
I truly hope you recover, and recover soon and fully.

Peace be with you and yours my Friend!!

Sincerely,
Matt
