New Area (Update)

Post by ko4nrbs »

Found a new spot of 45 acres bordered by a creek on one side and a cemetery on the other. Mostly wooded with a power line right of way down the lower 1/4 of it. About 10 minutes from my house. I'll be talking to the owner this week.

Wish me luck!!

Bill

Struck out!! His son hunts it. Looks to be an ideal hide away for the deer to. Back to the search.

Very difficult because there are so many deer hunters around here.

Good Luck!
Hope ya get it!!

Love hunting the pipe line and power line right-of-ways here in East Texas. They provide a corridor for deer to travel while allowing them access to the woods in a split second making them feel more 'secure' in their movements. I really like those that cross creeks and stream down in a draw. I got a place with a set up like that. Threw some crimson clover out last year and the deer mowed it like a lawn service!!
Now it's my turn to 'mow them'!! :eusa-dance:

In Florida you just about have to buy something if you want a place to hunt.
